Roadrunner (2018)Beep beep! Meet our newest creation, Roadrunner!
It's a very swift and agile robot consisting of a 4 CIM drivetrain that finds lifting cubes and placing them into the switch a breeze! Our robot uses a wheel and piston activated intake, to suck in cubes and spit them out. Roadrunners elevator mechanism consists of three stages, allowing us to place our cubes into the switch and vault. Our climb consists of a telescopic arm that places a carabiner on the scale sidebar. This carabiner is attached to the robot with a sturdy rope, allowing it to escalate. We also have a two speed transmission system, with the ability to switch between having more speed or torque when necessary. |
Shark Bait (2017)Shark Bait's very name comes from it's climbing mechanism, which is made up of a giant rod with smaller bolts welded into it, making it look like shark teeth. It sports a ratchet on it's climbing mechanism, which prevents it from falling when escalating rope.
Quick maneuvers are capable with it's 4 CIM drivetrain. The robot also includes a passive gear system, for transporting gears to pegs, as well as, an odd looking . . . uh . . . trash can!? It may very well look like that, but I can assure you, it's a ball dispenser. |
